Data protection statement

Based on Article 13 of the Swiss federal constitution and the data protection regulations of the federal state (Data Protection Act), each person has the right to the protection of privacy and against the misuse of personal data. We comply with these provisions. Personal data is treated as strictly confidential and is neither forwarded nor sold to third parties.

In close cooperation with our hosting providers we endeavour to protect the databanks as well as possible from unauthorised access, losses, misuse or forgery.

On accessing our webpages the following data is stored in logfiles: IP address, date, time, browse request and generally transferred information on operating system and browser. This usage data form the basis for anonymous, statistic evaluations so that trends can be identified to enable us to improve our services accordingly.

Handling of personal data
Personal data is information with which a person can be identified, in other words details that can be traced back to an individual. This includes name, email address or telephone number. But also data on preferences, hobbies, memberships or other websites that are viewed by someone count as personal data.

Personal data is only recorded, used and forwarded by the provider if this is permitted by law or the user agrees to the data being collected.

Contact
When contacting the provider (for example using a contact form or via email) the details of the user are stored for processing purposes and for the event that follow-up questions arise.

Newsletter
With our newsletter we inform you about us and our services.

If you would like to receive our newsletter, we require a valid email address and information that allow us to verify that you are the owner of the submitted email address or that the owner agrees to receive the newsletter. Further data is not collected. This data is only used for sending the newsletter and is not passed on to third parties.

When you subscribe to the newsletter we store your IP address and the registration date. This data is stored solely as proof should it occur that a third person has misused an email address and registered to receive the newsletter without the authorised person's knowledge.

Your consent to store data, the email address and its use for sending the newsletter can be withdrawn at any time. You can withdraw your consent using a link in the newsletter itself, in your profile area or with a notification to the contact details given above.

Integration of third party services and content
It is possible that third party content, such as videos from YouTube, map material from Google Maps, RSS feeds or images from other websites is integrated with this online service. This always requires that the providers of these contents (hereinafter referred to as third provider) recognise the users' IP address. Since without the IP address they cannot send the contents to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore required to show these contents. We endeavour to use such content only where the respective provider merely uses the IP address to deliver the content. However, we have no influence on whether the third providers store the IP address e.g. for statistics purposes or not. Insofar as we gain knowledge of this, we inform the users.

Cookies
Cookies are small files that make it possible to store specific device-related information on the access device of the user (PC, smartphone). They are used to increase the user-friendliness of webpages and so benefit the user (storage of login data). They are also used to collect statistical data of the webpage usage and to analyse this data in order to improve the service. The users are able to influence the use of cookies. Most browsers have the option to limit or prevent cookies from being stored. However, then it is pointed out that the use and in particular the user convenience can be limited without cookies.

Google Analytics
This service uses Google Analytics, a web-based analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on the user's computer and permit the analysis of the webpage usage. As a rule, the information created by the cookie regarding the usage of the website by the user is transferred and stored on a Google server in the USA.

In the event that the IP anonymisation is activated on this webpage, the IP address of the user is shortened by Google within the European Union member states or in other states that are party to the agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP anonymisation is active on this website. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate the use of the website by the users, compile reports on the website activity and provide further website and Internet related services to the website operator.

The IP address sent by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google. Users can prevent cookies from being stored by adjusting the appropriate setting of your browser software; this service points out to the user that in this case the latter may not be able to use all functions of this website fully. Furthermore, users can also prevent the data generated by the cookie related to their use of the website (including IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading the following link and installing the browser plugin: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Use of Facebook Social Plugins
This service uses social plugins ("plugins") from the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook"). The plugins can be recognised by the Facebook logo (white "f" on a blue tile, the terms "Like", or a "Thumbs up" sign) or are additionally labelled "Facebook Social Plugin". The list and the appearance of the Facebook Social Plugins can be viewed here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.

When a user calls up the service of this website that contains such a plugin, his/her browser will set up a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is directly transferred to your browser by Facebook and integrated on this website. Therefore, the provider has no influence on the scope of the data that Facebook collects using this plugin and informs the user according to its knowledge status:

By embedding the plugins Facebook receives the information that a user has called up the respective page of a service. Facebook is able to assign this visit to the user's Facebook account if the user is logged into Facebook. When users interact with plugins, for example activate the Like button or leave a comment, your browser transfers the respective information directly to Facebook where it is stored. If a user is not a Facebook member, there is still the possibility that Facebook finds out his/her IP address and stores it. According to Facebook only anonymised IP addresses are stored in Germany.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and usage of the data by Facebook as well as the corresponding rights and setting options to protect the privacy of the users can be found in the data protection notices of Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

If a user is a Facebook member and does not wish Facebook to use this service to collect data about him/her and link it to his/her member data stored on Facebook, then he/she must log out of Facebook before visiting the website. Further settings and objections to usage of data for promotional purposes are possible within the Facebook profile settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.

Twitter
This service uses the function button of Twitter services. These buttons are provided by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. They are linked to terms such as "Twitter" and "Follow" and represented by a stylised blue bird. Using these buttons a contribution or page of this service can be shared on Twitter or be followed by the users.

When a user calls up the service of this website that contains such a button, his/her browser will set up a direct connection to the Twitter servers. The content of the Twitter buttons are directly transferred by Twitter to the user's browser. Therefore, the provider has no influence on the scope of the data that Twitter collects using this plugin and informs the user according to its knowledge status: According to this, merely the IP address of the user and the URL of the respective webpage when activating the button are transferred. However, these are not used for any other purposes as the presentation of the button.
Further information can be found in the data protection statement of Twitter at http://twitter.com/privacy.

Upon request the user has the right to receive free of charge information on all of the personal data stored on him/her. In addition, the user has the right to demand the correction of incorrect data, blocking and deletion of his/her personal data insofar as no contradictory statutory retention requirement exists.
